Our meetings are quite informal, involving a period to view other members models and to show your own, followed by a model tour to hear about all the models. This is then followed by a business session when we discuss matters such as dates of meetings, club support of other events, further ideas for our Scrapheap Challenge and any other business that is relevant. Refreshments are available throughout each meeting. We issue the meeting report which covers models shown and other Meccano topics that each member is involved with.

Club Meetings

We hold four meetings annually, three are for our  members and their guests to get together, discuss and show our latest projects, and the fourth is an annual exhibition where we show our models and other items of Meccano interest to the public. All are welcome at our exhibition and you may also join us at our club meetings by prior arrangement with the secretary. Currently, we hold three of the club meetings at members houses on a Thursday evening and the annual exhibition in the village hall at Tockington but our plans for 2015 are to move one of our club meetings to a Saturday in a hall to make visiting us easier.

July - Fourth Saturday in July (22nd) in Tockington at Richard Smith’s house 2 pm to 5 pm

October - Meeting and AGM on Saturday 28th October in the village hall at Tockington (12.30 pm to 5 pm)

January - Last Saturday in January (30th) in Henleaze, Bristol at Philip Drew’s house 2 pm to 5 pm
